Had a soft lockup on a multi core install. Seemed to go on forever, or at least the kernel thought it did.
kernel 18446744025.946970 BUG: soft lockup - CPU#11 stuck for 17163091970s!

The thing is, that would have been locked up for quite some time eh?
Roughly figuring, that would be somewhere north of 544 years. I should have noticed that :-)
Problem now is the dmesg output from the kernel thinks it is the year 2598.
I am thinking softlockup.c needs some love. Either that, or I need to upgrade my kernel.
The soft lockup is informational only, so not too much to see here, but it is strange none the less.
