When will they learn not to send email so often.
Outage duration to date: September 16 - 20th and counting.
Quick resolution there MS.
I can think of alternative solutions for restoration that only involves dns changes :-)
Microsoft is working to restore service for customers served from the Americas that may be
experiencing an issue where messages intermittently get stuck in the Outlook outbox or
OWA (Outlook Web App) drafts folder before sending. Exchange Online engineers have developed
a fix and are in the process of deploying it across the affected environment to mitigate
end-user impact. The next update will be provided by September 21st, 2013 at 7:00 PM UTC, or
upon service restoration.


Thanks to the "someone" who said mail was not being delivered back on the 16th.

Closure Summary: On Monday, September 16, 2013 at approximately 10:14 PM UTC, Microsoft received
reports of an issue where some customers served from the Americas may have experienced intermittent
issues with messages remaining in the Outlook outbox or OWA (Outlook Web App) drafts folder before
being sent. Exchange Online engineers discovered the root cause of the issue, and deployed a fix
across the affected environment to mitigate impact. The issue was successfully fixed on
Friday, September 20, 2013 at 9:50 PM UTC.
A complete post-incident report will be available on the Service Health Dashboard within five
business days.
