Can't get Windows Server 2008 to change the network from "Unknown Network" to something sane?
Try turning TCPIPv6 on the adapter in question.
OMG, (not to sound like a teenager, but you need to do this on disabled nic cards as well!) wtf, lol and any other tla you can think of....
- Wow, counting down the days till folks have to turn it back on :-)
Should be bug fixed by then eh?

You might need to enable a few services as well:

Computer Browser
DHCP Client
DNS Client
Network Connections
Network Location Awareness
Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
Server
TCP/IP Netbios helper
Workstation

SSDP Discovery
UPnP Device Host

Oh, then fix the stupid firewall.
Zero administration, here we come!
